100 Years Since the Asia Minor Catastrophe
The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe — one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century — honors the “Unforgettable Homelands” through a series of events.
A collection of audio narrations brings listeners into contact with literature, history, and memory, taking us on a journey to the Unforgettable Homelands. These stories bring us closer to the painful history of Hellenism in Smyrna.
Authors, actors, journalists, and artists lend their voices to masterpieces of Greek and world literature, where through their pages unfold the tragic events before and after the Catastrophe. They invite listeners to reflect on history — to share in the pain, anxiety, and memories that have marked our modern history.
